weet Sixteen
Sarah Geronimo
Viva Records
She's only 16, but at her age, Sarah Geronimo has achieved more than most teenagers can only dream of. Already a certified hitmaker, her song, Forever's Not Enough , will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the biggest hits of 2004.
A month before the past year ended, Sarah has come up with another winner of an album in Sweet Sixteen , the follow-up to her now quintuple-platinum first effort, Popstar: A Dream Come True .
With the return of the same team – a multi-awarded songwriter Vehnee Saturno (who again penned the carrier single, How Could You Say You Love Me ), producer Eugene Villaluz , and Sarah – Sweet Sixteen is expected to duplicate, if not surpass, the success of Sarah's first solo album.
Aside from their carrier single, Sarah's Sweet Sixteen album also includes Lumingon Ka lang, Minsan , Prinsesa ng Puso Mo , Champion , Love Can't Lie , And You Smiled At Me . You're Taking My Breath Away , Sana and the bonus tracks Tunay Talaga (Charmee Song) and Manila Bulletin Jingle.
It also contains revivals of Love of My Life by Freddie Mercury of the ‘70s rock band Queen , I Wanna Know What Love Is , You Don't Know Me and the inspirational song Light of A Million Mornings .
There are also two OPM revivals: Ogie's Alcasid's Hanggang Kailan , and Before I Let You Go (composed by Totop Suzara of Freestyle ) which Sarah performs as a duet with the all-boy group 17:28 .
Already out is the music video of the carrier single, How Could You Say You Love Me , which was shot in the US while Sarah was there for the Night of the Champions US tour. The music video features a special guest appearance of Mark Bautista – no doubt Mark's way of returning the favor Sarah did him when she agreed to play his love interest in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Lastikman , where he is playing the title role. -
