ny day now, the filming of boxing hero Manny Pacquiao's true-to-life story will commence with award-winning director Joel Lamangan at the helm. Roy Iglesias writes the script.

Jericho Rosales was tapped by FLT Films to play the role of Manny Pacquiao while Bea Alonzo plays the role of Manny's lovely wife, Jinkee. Rudy Fernandez will play the role of the trainor. FLT Films' lady producer, Mommy Rose Flaminiano admits that she stopped producing movies for three years because she concentrated in her real estate business but after she acquired the rights to Pacquiao's life story last November, she's excited again to return to movie making.

The last movie that FLT Films produced was in 2003, "You and Me Against The World" topbilled by estranged sweethearts Robin Padilla and Kris Aquino.

Meanwhile, people are wondering if the Pacquiao story will include the episode of his other woman.

They used to deny their relationship but Aleck Bovick and Carlo Maceda cannot deny their relationship anymore when Aleck was introduced as one of the new PBB housemates (Celebrity Edition) held at the Baywalk in Roxas. Blvd., Manila . Carlo was there to give Aleck the necessary moral support. We also saw Carlo around ABS-CBN near the Big Brother's house two days ago. He must have been missing Aleck a lot that all he could do is look at the house where his ladylove now temporarily stays.

Former actress Dulce Lukban, who turned 60 last February 3, was treated to a surprise intimate birthday party by his eldest daughter, Pops Fernandez, last Saturday (Feb. 4) evening held at the Architectural Center Club in Rockwell, Makati city.

The affair was attended by Dulce's children — Pops, Edwin, Jocelyn and Joey, granchildren Robin, Ram and Erika and Dulce's close friends outside showbiz.

Pops and son Ram sung a duet with Robin accompanying them on guitar. Pops, Edwin, Joey and Jocelyn also gave their respective birthday messages for their mom who was teary-eyed that evening. "Honestly, I'm so happy. This really came as a big surprise to me. Talagang naitago nila ang preparation nang wala akong nalalaman. Kamuntik na nga akong magtampo sa mga anak ko dahil wala akong mahagilap sa kanila last Saturday," she relates. Dulce's close friend Liza Alvendia invited her out for dinner Saturday evening not knowing that she was in cohort with Pops.

Somebody whispered to us that Jomari Yllana was coming but he arrived after we left. Sila nga talaga ni Pops ngayon.

Alessandra de Rossi's international movie, "The Maid," hardly made a stir when it was shown recently considering that the movie made a killing in Singapore when it was exhibited there last year.

Lack of promotions and marketing could be one of the major factors why the movie did not make money when it was shown recently. While Alex is a good actress, one has to admit that she's not a crowd drawer yet.

Meanwhile, Alex' relationship with Joey Marquez' eldest son, Jeremy is pretty obvious as they are seen together most of the time.
