ore than a year as actors and almost just as long as lovers, StarStruck Batch One first ultimate pair Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado are still going strong in both aspects.

LEGIT MOVIE STARS

THE Monday after the phenomenal first season StarStruck Final Judgement last February of 2004, the pair was immediately whisked off to Puerto Gallera to start taping for the third season Duet For Love story for Love to Love . Mark and Jen have never stopped working since then.

TV shows SOP Rules , SOP Gigsters , Click , Forever In My Heart and Joyride followed one by one and by December of last year, they became legitimate movie stars as they were introduced in one of the top three highest grossing festival entries for Metro Manila Film Festival-Philippines 2004, So Happy Together starring Kris Aquino and Eric Quizon.

In February last year, as the support pair of Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin in GMA Films' re-entry to moviemaking, Let The Love Begin , both GMA Films and Regal Films took notice of Mark and Jen's strong showing from the audience impact of the movie that has grossed more the P150 million to date that a follow-up movie for Regal Films was rushed immediately.

FIRST SOLO MOVIE

SAY THAT YOU LOVE ME is the first solo movie of the loveteam. Written by RJ Nuevas and directed by Mac Alejandre with a June slated opening, it also stars who pairs from StarStruck , Batch One's Nadine Samonte and Tyron Perez and Batch Two's Benj Pacia and Megan Young .

“Our first meeting involved us in a road accident. I was rushing to meet my crush but Jenny got in the way,” Mark explained during the first shooting day of the movie.

“My crush gave me an ultimatum that I should meet her by 3 pm or she won't answer me and then the road accident happened. Since then, we've been at odds with each other.”

How they will end up with one another is the main plot of the movie.

A second film from GMA Films has already started it's pre-production. The yet untitled movie to be written by Suzette Doctolero will have the four final pairs of StarStruck Batches 1 and 2 as the lead stars with Mark and Jenny rightly taking top billing. Also in the cast are Yasmien Kurdi , Ryza Cenon , Mike Tan , LJ Reyes and CJ Muere .

They have also started their first soap opera as lead stars for GMA's third fantasy-soap Encantadia that opened also last month.

RIVAL LOVETEAMS

NO doubt, Mark and jenny are among the hottest loveteams today and are being pitted against the love pair of ABS Star Circle Quest champions Hero Angeles and Sandara.

“Maybe there is competition but we're okay,” Mark said.
