ubrey Santos Sandel—better known as Aubrey Miles—has only been in showbiz for two years. Yet in that short span of time, she has been luck enough to get a continuously stream of movie roles, TV roles, guestings, and product endorsements, plus a recording contract. Owing to her success, she can already afford to indulge in a few luxuries, such as a collection of bags, and shoes by Louis Vuitton and Prada, a Starex van, a Porsche, and now a three-story townhouse. Not bad for a 22-year-old.
Her recently purchased townhouse is situated in a strategic place in San Juan , Metro Manila. It's not too far form ABS-CBN, where she goes for her “Home Along da Airport” tapings, and it's very near the residence of producer Mother Lily.
At the time of the YES! visit, Aubrey has been living in her town house for only three months. Not too many people know about the new place yet. “Actually, wala pang nakakaalam na artista,” she says. But she admits that Troy Montero, her rumored boyfriend, has already been here.
Though she seems quite comfortable in her townhouse, she sees it as a way station rather tan as a final destination: “Magtatagal pa ako dito, pero hindi pa talaga ito ‘yong bahay na gusto ko. Gusto ko, ako ‘yong magde-design ng bahay ko.”
If her string of successes holds out, it may not be long before she moves to Greenmeadows, where she hopes to build her dream house.
There's simple explanation for the placement of Aubrey's posters on the inside of her closet doors: “Hindi ko kasi alam kung saan sila ilalagay, kaya dito na lang!” though she has enough closet space, she keeps some of her clothes slashed in her van: “Lahat ng mga [bigay] ng sponsors ko, nasa kotse. Ang mga ito, pang-personal.”
ABOVE Behold Aubrey's Prada shrine!
“Ito ‘yong section ko,” Aubrey says of her walk-in closet. This is where she keeps her prized collection of Louis Vuitton bags and Prada shoes. She also collects coats: “Siguro fifteen ang coats ko.”

When she's not working, Aubrey can almost always be found inside her bedroom, among the most of her 47-inch plasma TV set, which is complemented by a “home theater in a box” (HTIB) contains a DVD player, a center speaker, two stereo speakers, two surround speakers, and a subwoofer. Oh, the red bed cover is courtesy of her mother: “Ito kasing nanay ko ‘yong nagagawa. Ang cover ko talaga, white and black lang. So sabi ng nanay ko, ‘Bigyan mo ng colors!' “Tapos, nilagay ito. Sabi ko, ‘Ano ba ‘to! Hindi ba masyadong pangmasyonda?'”
“Mga equipment, mga ganyang gadget—mahilig ako sa ganyan,” Aubrey says, referring to her home entertainment center. The centerpiece is a 67-inch projection TV set, which is flanked by a mini component and a regular size TV. That's right, there's another TV beside the big TV. That's right, there's another TV beside the big TV. “Kailangan may isa pang TV!” she explains. “Minsan, pag masakit na ‘yong mata. Nanonood ako do'n sa isa. ‘Tsaka minsan kasi, pag may bisita, gusto nila iba ‘yong pinapanood. Ayoko naman ‘yong kalahatan, do'n ka lang manonood!”
The electronic keyboard in the right corner is a reminder of Aubrey's days at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, where she majored in voice and minored piano.
Aubrey doesn't go for bright and vibrant colors: “Black and white, ‘yon ang gusto ko. Ayoko no'ng maraming malupit sa mata. Gusto ko ganyan lang.”
