The point of Citizen Military Training was lost on us the second we set foot at 1PM on our university's lush green fields for the very first time. What a way, we thought, to waste two years' worth of Saturday supply.

But you know how it is with rules, right? People always find loopholes in them to exploit. Our platoon's goal back then was simple: craft reasonable excuses that'd exempt us from marching weekly under all circumstances. We're not real soldiers, after all. And that sword dangling from our corps commander's waist? Couldn't even cut grass!

So we befriended medics and found comfort in their company, lounging under higad-infested acacia trees, feigning dizziness and sniffing ammonia till we felt really in need of medication. Good thing we only had to do this for four years.

Not executing pasa-masid all throughout our so-called training certainly was one of the highlights of our college life. Having said that, we'd like to take this moment to apologize for not giving our all.

See these ladies here jostling for prime FHM space? Well, they were, for the duration of this seven-hour pictorial, really sick. Fever-way-over-37-degree-celsius-sick. They grabbed a sarong during breaks to fight off the chills. Both dozed off for five minutes whenever they could. Only paracetamol and energy drinks kept them from fainting and packing up on us.

Think clichés along the lines of “The show must go on.” Very wornout, true, but still a fantastic sight to be hold when personified. We wrote something nice about you in our 100 Sexiest list this year:” “…has one of the prettiest faces in local sexy tinseltown.” We meant that, of course. So what recipe did you folks follow making you? I had actually asked my dad about that. “Dad, bakit ako masyadong mestiza compared to my other sisters?” To which my dad replied, “Mahirap ka kasi gawin.” It took a couple of tries bago ako nabuo.

Anything European in your roots?
I'm pure Filipino, both my mom and dad are. I can only guess that we're of Spanish descent—my real last name is De Jesus and it's, uhm, kind of Spanish, right?

With a distinct face like yours, it must be very hard trying to say incognito. It's not really a big deal. I still go out malling and clubbing. Besides, people these days don't go crazy over artistas they see. Well, at least in the malls that I go to, the people don't go hysterical over showbiz personalities. But I can still go to Greenhills or Tutuban to shop. Of course it can't be helped that some people come up to me to say hi or to chat but it's just normal.   Nothing scarier than that? Gropers, for instance? I haven't had any bad experiences with the public except for this one time in a place I forget now. I overheard a group of guys saying, “Hey, isn't that one of the Viva Hot Babes?” and then they started heckling me. “Sige nga, hubad ka nga!” I heard them says but I didn't really pay much attention to it. I just walked past them.   How was life before you became a Hot Babe? I was the same as I am now except that I have more work now that I used to.

More money, naturally. (Chuckles) No, not really. Kasi being an artista means more expenses. For my part my money goes to paying for my condo, car, and phone bills.

Not to sound like the BIR but how much does your phone bill amount to each month? About 10 to 15 thousand pesos a month. I'm a phone freak kasi. But then again, there's only one person I like to keep in touch with. If I'm with that person I really don't care about my phone that much.

Yes, him. Lucky. We mean not Lucky, Ate Vi's son but lucky him, that guy you're with. He's my angel, that's all I can say. He completes me.

Wow. Very Jerry Maguire. Ha ha ha, oh yeah, I know. But it's like that.

Assuming our readers, like us, are tsismoso too, they must know who this guy is. You must really go for the mestizo type, yes? I don't know, iba-iba kasi talaga ang type ko sa lalaki. I had a boyfriend before who was moreno and short. It doesn't really matter to me.   This gig you have with the Viva Hot Babes—if it were up to us we'd want you girls to go on forever and not grow old. That's not possible, obviously. But don't you think you'd be better off without them? No. It's a group and I want to stay in it. I really don't have plans of going solo anytime soon. If I stop being with the Hot Babes I'll probably stop being in showbiz altogether. I can finally go back to my studies and finish college. I was in an IT course.

Oh good. Are you a techie? I'm very much into computers, surfing the Internet, and creating websites. Except that I forgot how the insides of a computer work now. I used to before, but with all the new technology coming up I often find myself lost in it all. Nangangapa na ako ngayon.

Do you do online blogging—you know, that Internet diary thing every damn wired human being can read? Oh no. I just surf the tsismis sites and Ebay. I don't hunt for any specific stuff on Ebay, just thing that catch my fancy, like a leopard-print costume I bought one time.

What about online porn? I tried going inside one site but I couldn't because they asked for a credit card number and my dad will never allow me to used his credit card for online porn.   Have you tried typing you name on a search engine to find filth about you? Well, there were some tsismis and some hateful comments on bullboards. Thankfully there aren't any sex video scandals out there involving myself. And I'm pretty sure I'm completely safe from these because I don't recall making any sex videos with anybody. I like to do my things on a down-low.

How would you asses your career so far? I've been with the Viva Hot Babes for over a year now and sobrang thankful and happy ako with the way my career is going. I really think I'm improving.

And you're obviously getting noticed. Time to thank your fans for voting you to the 22 nd spot of this year's 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll. Alam mo, di ko talaga ine-expect that I'd be on the list. Actually, nagulat talaga ako nung nakita ko yung rank ko. Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nag-a-appreciate sa akin—kahit na I'm not that controversial.

See, you don't have to be one. That's the beauty of the poll. So, what's the sexiest thing about you? I never act like I'm a celebrity. Ganito talaga ako. I do what I want to do. And I'm the kind of person who will push myself to do the limit.   Well, it's amazing to witness such display of dedication. How are you feeling now? I really wanted to be in my best condition for this shoot. Excited kasi ako masyado. Unfortunately, heto nga, pareho pa kami ni Jaycee na nagkasakit. Pero carry naman, eh. Kayong lahat kasi yung inspiration ko. Kaya naman kahit talagang bumibigay na yung katawan ko, hindi ko na lang inisip yung sakit. I keep thinking, “Mamaya ka pa dapat lagnatin.” I really don't want to disappoint anyone here.

How could you even think that? Have you always been a workaholic? There are times na di talaga maiiwasang sumabak sa work. It's the reality of being a Viva Hot Babe. And, yes, most of our fans don't know exactly the condition we're in when we do shows. But it's better to give your all na rin. Kaysa naman magmukha akong matamlay. Hangga't kaya ko talaga, I give more than a hundred percent. Also, this cover means a lot to me and my career. Kasi naman, not everyone can do an FHM cover. You don't know how proud you made me feel.

Can you also proudly admit to being titillated by another woman? Actually. I don't think it's a problem na ma-attract ka sa isang girl. It's a matter of appreciating beauty lang naman. I'm very friendly to other women anyway.

Men, however view things differently.

That's because girl-on-girl action is stimulating to them. Alam naman ninyo ang mga babae—sobrang napaka-sensual. Just take a look at Jaycee. Her personality alone is very sexy. She's very cool girl eh. The way she talks pa lang, alam mo nang sexy siya.

Which do you want: To star in a sexy film or headline a fit-for-SM-cinemas movie? Kahit alin sa kanila okay sa akin. I'm game doing sexy movies. Puwede rin tayo sa drama, sa comedy, sa action, sa romance. I'm very patient. I will hang around until my break comes. What's happening now, the banning of sexy movies, I think it should challenge all of us in the movie industry, lalo na yung mga gumagawa ng sexy movie. I really believe all this will eventually lead to the production of well-conceived films.   Don't you think pitting one Hot Babe against another is such a cliché by now? Whatever problems we sometimes have, we always find ways naman to work them out. Kung meron mang tampuhan paminsan-minsan, madali naman kaming mag-reconcile. Sa akin, wala naman problema. I'm not really hot-headed.

Are you as patient as you claim to be when screening your suitors? Believe me, hindi ganoon karami ang suitors ko. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm the type of person na lagi lang na nasa isang corner or dumidiretso ng bahay after work. Pero right now, I can go out na without my mom in tow. I'm having fun and learning at the same time.

Our Girls Next Door search is on its second year now. If you weren't a Viva Hot Babe, would you be daring enough to give it a go? Yeah. I've always been confident about myself. And I have the guts.
