The Regions: Coasts and Islands of North-West Luzon
This region encompasses the coastal provinces of La Union, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte, as well as two islands groups, the Babuyan and Batanes Islands. Resorts: Montemar Beach Club
The great attraction of Montemar Beach Club is its accessibility from Manila. Without taking a plane or even your own car, you can reach it in two hours by ferry and then by van. This merits making a note of. Montemar is a good place for relaxation. It is set in 
a rocky, wooded cove with a long beautiful beach surrounded by a garden of bougainvillea, flame trees, travelers’ trees and coconut palms. The resort was completely renovated in 1996.
