Meet
the Filipinos
Filipinos are dancing-est folks
with smiles easy-going characters and personal kinship system
that keep their world going. Thespian Rolando Tinio said it
best: “Like islanders everywhere in the tropics, Filipinos
to tend to be quite blissful.” There are two sources of the
inner strength and friendliness of the typical Filipino: a
fervent belief in the goodness of God, Life and Nature, and a
sense of security in and reliance of family ties and
neighborhood associations. The typical Filipino is long on
religiosity, family, hometown loyalty and cockeyed optimism.

Resorts:
Montemar Beach Club
The
great attraction of Montemar Beach Club is its accessibility
from Manila. Without taking a plane or even your own car, you
can reach it in two hours by ferry and then by van. This
merits making a note of.
Montemar is a good place for relaxation. It is set
in
a rocky, wooded cove with a long beautiful beach surrounded by
a garden of bougainvillea, flame trees, travelers’ trees and
coconut palms. The resort was completely renovated in 1996. more» |
